PARK CITY, UT. (February 21, 2024) — The Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District calculates a monthly “flush Index” for the purpose of estimating the number of visitors (visitor nights) that were present in the Park City/Snyderville Basin area. Listed below is the latest monthly index with a comparison from the previous year.

December, 2023 Visitor Nights “Flush Index”% Difference from December, 2022
    266,484 +/- 3.5% Decrease

The “Flush Index” is based on historical wastewater flows measured by the Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District. Actual methodology involves a statistical model that considers the quantity of wastewater, the strength of wastewater, monthly visitation patterns and an adjustment for rain or snow melt water seeping into the system.

 “Tip of the Month”

Lower your water and sewer bills by checking for leaking toilets. Place food coloring in the tank and look for leaks.
