American Flag Sewer Access Project

In the summer of 2025, the Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District (SBWRD) will be constructing an access corridor that will provide much needed access to the sewer system located behind the homes on Golden Eagle Drive.

The entrance to the access corridor will be from Royal Street, just east of the intersection with Golden Eagle Drive. The project will be constructed in three phases:

Phase 1: June 16 – July 23

  • Demolition and clearing of existing easement
  • Tree Removal
  • Access corridor grading & construction

Phase 2: July 25 – September 12

  • Rehabilitation work on the existing sewer system

Phase 3: September 15 – September 26

  • Topsoil placement and revegetation of all impacted areas, including the access corridor
  • Access gate installation

Project Details:

1. The intent of the project is to provide the SBWRD with access to the existing sewer system for maintenance operations, while minimizing the visual impact to the neighborhood and adjacent homeowners. SBWRD has been working closely with the homeowners and Deer Valley to ensure that long-term disturbances are minimized. Therefore, following the rehabilitation work, the access corridor will be covered with topsoil and revegetated to present a more natural looking final product.

2. The access corridor will be gated. Public access, including using the corridor to access adjacent trails, will not be permitted. The access corridor crosses several privately owned lots, so unauthorized access will be viewed as trespassing.

3. The nature of the project will require that trees and other vegetation within the easement area be removed, but the project has been designed to minimize the number of larger trees needing removal
