Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District

Engineering - Capital Improvement Projects

Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) managed by the SBWRD Engineering Department are District-funded projects for wastewater collection system rehabilitation, expansion, or upgrades. Projects planned for 2011 include participation with Summit County and Mountain Regional Water on the Summit Park Reconstruction Project Phase 2 and rehabilitation of the Jeremy Ranch Lift Station and Jeremy Ranch Force Main. Details of the upgrades include:

Summit Park Reconstruction Project Phase 2

In addition to Summit County’s planned roadway improvements and Mountain Regional Water’s planned water system upgrades, SBWRD will rehabilitate approximately 1400 lineal feet of wastewater pipeline. Service connections from the pipeline to the edge of roadway will also be replaced. SBWRD will continue to upgrade the wastewater system in Summit Park in conjunction with future roadway and water system improvements. The project limits for phase 2 are anticipated to be within Parkview Drive from the Parkview Terrace intersection to the Crestview Drive intersection.

Jeremy Ranch Lift Station and Force Main Rehabilitation Project

The Jeremy Ranch lift station receives domestic wastewater from the Jeremy Ranch development and pumps the flow to the East Canyon Water Reclamation Facility for treatment and disposal. The lift station is near the end of its planned service life and will be upgraded to ensure reliability for the next 30 to 50 years of operation. The force main will be replaced in off road areas and new air release valve assemblies will be installed in the roadway. Upgrades to the lift station and its force main line will be constructed in 2011.
